Transmission Gear Selector Shaft Dust Boot

Introduced in 1991, this transmission dust boot attaches to the existing selector shaft seal and provides extra protection to keep dust and dirt out of the transmission and protect the seal itself. Unfortunately, transmission and engine oil attack the rubber, and it gets swollen and is no longer functional since it doesn’t stay in place. It’s not easy to replace since it requires the separation of the shift linkage and taper pin (everyone's favorite job), but it’s a good addition to any transmission build or replacement.  It will fit on all 4 and 5 speed transmissions with the updated seal (#8730764). The new part is polyurethane which better resists oil swelling and contamination.
