C900 Speedometer Drive Cable

$42.00

#1 cause of a wobbly speedometer is a deformed drive cable (the inner wound cable that spins). This is often caused by the cluster connection being broken or not adequately lubricated. Long periods of sitting will put a permanent bend at the cable ends which result in a low speed wobble, that usually goes away after about 50mph. This is a new , replacement drive cable that is made in-house and much easier to replace than a used complete assembly, since the original outer sheathing can stay mounted in the car and does not have to be fished through the firewall. The old cable can simply be pulled out from the bottom (transmission end) and the new cable fished back in and reconnected. If you have a 1989 and later speedometer cable, the plastic connector clip that plugs into the back of the dash is likely broken (or will break when you look at it!) Don't worry, I have a fix for that too :)
